Don't you wish....

Your mother would have taken a picture of you the first time you called your "girlfriend" and then posted it all over the internet?

Before you start to feel bad for him, just know that he is a true Botsch...nothing phases him.

So, this friend's family has a farm and Christian is going to "work" for them on Monday. Picking vegetables in the 102 degree heat! Ah yes, the things boys do to impress girls. Should I tell him that it only gets worse from here?

This will be a huge step for me as well.  I'm dropping him off at the friend's house to ride in a car with people who are not family (this has never happened) to spend the day with people who are not family (again, never happened).  I know it will be fine, but if he so much as stubs a toe I might have a panic attack.  Oh, and I'm thisclose to getting him a cell phone just in case he needs me. I know...I know.

Now ask me where I got the cake stand.

Oh yes I did!

When I first started watching Extreme Couponing I described it this way to my friend Jaimie "The ladies are on the show are a little batshit but the show's pretty good."

The thing that got me hooked was seeing how much cereal they were getting and I even heard one lady say that she would never again pay more than a dollar a box for cereal.  We eat a lot of cereal! I usually buy between 2 and 3 boxes a week but I have never found a really good deal on them...until last night!

HEB has a coupon for $4 off 4 boxes of cereal or fruit snacks. I was able to combine this with coupons I had. THEN I noticed that they had a promotion that if you bought 10 items with the box tops for schools thingies you got $5 on your next visit. So,  last night I bought 12 boxes total and got my $5.  I was so excited that today we went back for 12 more. Used our $5 coupon and got $5 more.  Average cost per box: $.76

Bat. Shit.

Still working on those action shots

Almost all of them came out blurry or overexposed.  Not many came out blurry AND overexposed, though, so I guess we will call it a win for the day!

Jumping!

I started an online photography class this week.  So far I am just learning the basics.  One of the things I was supposed to practice for the focusing portion was a "jump" shot.

I think my neighbors trashy yard is an excellent backdrop!

Jessie finally got in on some action!

These cleaners (One for toilet, one for tub and tile) are pet and kid safe. They are regularly 3.99, but were on sale at PetsMart for .99 cents. I had a dollar off coupon :)  The check out lady was a little annoyed that I didn't owe her any money.

I've made many batches of cake balls but have always wanted to make cake pops. Tonight I made about seven before deciding they were too damn hard. I'm clearly more of a balls girl.

$.78 for everything!
(not quite sure it was worth it)

This was the first time that I really HATED doing the shopping.  Our littlest free shit helper was...well..a SHIT! Screamed at every store and ran around like a fool. Plus, we had a bit of an issue at Walgreens with the air freshener that just about made my head explode.

For .78 cents we got a toothbrush, Bayer Advance, Airwick air freshener, Blistex, Zyrtec, a razor, 3 Renuzit air fresheners, small bag of Sun Chips, and 3 small bags of Butterfinger candy.

Here is the breakdown:
Blistex: 2.00 get 2.00 in RR*
Toothbrush: 2.99 (minus .75 coupon) get 2.00 in RR
Bayer: 3.00 (minus 2.00 coupon) get 1.00 in RR
Air Freshener: 7.99 (minus 4.00 coupon) get 3.00 in RR
Candy was .39 a piece and chips were .99
Total was 11.40 and I used 11.00 worth of RR from last week.
So, I paid 40 cents and got back $8 in RR for next time.

For some reason the original Airwick air freshener I got did not print the RR.  So I had to get a manager to figure it out.  Bit of a pain, but it all worked out.

Then CVS:
Schick razor: 8.00 (minus 4.00 coupon) get 4.00 in ECB*
Zyrtec: 5.99 get 5.99 in ECB
3 air fresheners: .88 (minus buy 2 get 1 coupon)
Total was 10.88 (this should have been more but for some reason the Renuzit coupon took off $1.17..not complaining!) and I used 10.50 ECB from last week.
So, I paid 38 cents and got back $9.99 in ECB for next time.

*RR is a register reward.  ECB is Extra Care Buck.  Both are same as cash for next purchase. Since I'm a cool kid, I gotta use the lingo of the biz.

Most people go to church on Sunday morning

Today definitely got me back in the mood!  First, we went to Walgreens and got MORE vitamins (Fish oil...don't even know what that's for!), a Gillette Fusion Razor and a Sobe drink (not pictured...in my tummy). Here is how it all broke down:

Vitamins were $10, get a $10 register reward. Minus $2 coupon. Paid $8, got back $10
Razor was $9.89, get $5 RR. Minus $4 coupon. Paid $5.89, got back $5
Sobe was $.99, get $.99 RR

Original total $14.88 but I had $10 RR from last week.
So, I paid $4.88 for all items and got $15.99 back!!

Next, we headed to CVS for Ban deodorant, mouthwash, 2 toothbrushes and Excedrin PM. Can't remember the total breakdown but original total was $10.68 minus last weeks Extra Care Bucks of $6. So, I paid $4.68 for all items and got $10.50 back!!

This all makes Lucy very happy!

Meh

Been a bit of a slow week for free shit. Though, I think that has more to do with my motivation and less to do with what is out there. Not sure why I wasn't motivated, just wasn't feeling it much. I felt like I had to get something though, so today we went to Target and got Target brand pain reliever for $.09 (original price $1.09 minus $1 off coupon). Then, the bandaids were $1.87 but we had a $1 off Target coupon and $.55 off manufacturer coupon..making our grand total $.41 for both items! Not bad for someone who wasn't really in the mood.

P.S. Can you see the little girl in the doorway of this picture? She is crying "Why aren't you taking a picture of MEEEEEEE????!!!!!"
